The delusional man in her truck told her he’d walk back to his house as if that’s a completely normal thing to do after getting gutted. She looked at him like he lacked a brain which annoyed Dax even more, leading him to impulsively sit up from the table. He winced as pain shot through him. “You haven’t even taken any painkillers. Do you think once I stitch it up it’ll be a walk in the park?” Sana asked him dryly before jumping out of the truck and climbing into the driver’s seat.

“You can either tell me the directions to your house or sleep in my garage. I have no issues with both options,” she told him. He didn’t answer. “Don’t throw a tantrum now. I’m really tired.”
